Lisa Dunbar, Ph.D., is chief of the centers, resources, and research support section of the Scientific Review Branch. She oversees the review of a wide range of grant mechanisms including scientific projects and training and workforce development programs. Her responsibilities include reviews for the Support for Research Excellence (SuRE) program, and Institutional Development Award state initiatives.
Dunbar joined NIGMS as a Postdoctoral Research Associate Training Program fellow (pharmacology) and completed postdoctoral training at the National Institute of Deafness and Other Communication Disorders.
She earned a B.A. from Bennington College and a Ph.D. in cell biology from Yale University.
